The blueprint from which I teach is the yoga of doing. It is in doing the work that we can use the physical body to bring overall peace of mind and reduce our levels of anxiety. Over a long period of time when you practice you start to notice how you handle things off the mat differently.
I believe that yoga is 24/7 and that what you do on the mat reflects how you are out there in your life. That being said how we approach the practice can directly affect how we approach the challenges in our life, the good times and the difficult times. We learn to FEEL better and we learn to approach our life with a balanced state of mind.
I teach at Astanga Yoga Montclair in open yoga sessions commonly referred to as Mysore sessions. This method of practice is self paced in a group setting. Here we follow the guidelines for the Ashtanga Method teaching the primary and intermediate series. I also enjoy teaching privately and you can reach out to me with any questions on the best way for you to start a yoga practice on the “Contact Me” page.
